Battery and charging system check
A weak start or a battery warning light does not always mean a new battery. A technician tests the battery and charging system at your bay, shows you the readings and tells you plainly whether replacement is needed.

A battery can show normal voltage at rest and still fail when the starter motor asks for current. The test therefore looks at the battery under load and at the system that charges it, not only the voltage on the meter.
| Check | What it shows |
|---|---|
| State of charge | How full the battery is right now, and whether it has been drained. |
| Cranking under load | Whether the battery can still deliver the current needed to start the engine. |
| Alternator and charging output | Whether the battery is being recharged correctly while the engine runs. |
| Parasitic drain | Whether something is drawing power while the car is parked and locked. |
| Terminals and connections | Corrosion, looseness or damage that can cause starting problems on a good battery. |
The technician shows you the readings on the tester at the car and explains what each one means for your battery. If you are not at the car, the result and a photo of the readings can be shared by WhatsApp.
Results usually fall into one of four outcomes: the battery is healthy, it is drained but serviceable, it is weak and near the end of its life, or the battery is fine and the fault is in charging or a drain. Each has a different next step, and only one of them is a new battery.
No work needed. You are told the battery is fine.
Recharge or a boost, plus advice on what drained it.
A quote for a compatible battery on the spot; you decide.
We explain the readings so a garage can look at the alternator or wiring.
If the battery passes the load test, the technician tells you it does not need replacing, even if you called expecting a new one. A car that was slow to start after a week parked may only need a charge, and a loose or corroded terminal can mimic a failing battery.
Testing is included with any service visit, so you are not paying extra to find out whether you need a battery. If the battery does need replacing, fitted batteries start from AED 249 and the quote is confirmed before any work starts.
A check is most useful before a problem leaves you stuck in a car park. Book one if any of the following apply.
The test is done where the car is parked: a residential tower basement, an office car park or a roadside bay in Dubai. Send the building, parking level and bay number, or a pinned location for street parking, plus the car's make and model.
The car needs to be unlocked with the bonnet released, and for the cranking and charging checks the engine needs to be started if it can be. If someone else has the key, they can meet the technician while you follow by phone or WhatsApp.
FAQ
Testing is included with any service visit. If you only need a boost, the AED 99 jump start already includes a battery and alternator health check.
No. If the battery passes the test, the technician tells you it does not need replacing.
Yes. The battery can be tested as it is, and after a boost the charging system can be checked with the engine running.
Yes. The technician shows you the readings at the car. If you are not there, a photo of the readings can be sent by WhatsApp.
It checks whether something is drawing power while the car is parked, such as an aftermarket accessory or a module that does not go to sleep. It explains batteries that go flat overnight.
It is a short check at the car. We confirm the current arrival estimate when you message.
