A car with stop-start or regenerative braking was built for an EFB or AGM battery, and a standard battery fails early in it. The technician checks the battery type already in the car before matching the replacement.
If the car came with AGM, it gets AGM. EFB can be upgraded to AGM; it is never downgraded to a standard battery.
BMW, many Mercedes-Benz and Audi models and Range Rover track battery age and capacity. The new battery is registered to the car where it requires it. Confirm your model when you book.
